Summary of Febuary Meeting.
1. The Treasurers Report was agreed as correct. Proposed Tom Stockdale, Seconded John Paterson
2. Grass Roots Event - Entries for this years Grass Roots event require to be notified to Malcy Cowan by Sunday 4th March 2012. This is the date of the SPA meeting where entries will be submitted. Note that No SPA Category A,B,C players are allowed to enter this event. It is designed to promote the development of those players aiming to gain match play experience and gain experience of these big national events. Entry costs £5.
3. Following the withdrawal of the The Lounge in the second half of this season it was agreed that all match points related to "The Lounge" second half fixtures will be removed from the League Table. Similarly the same will apply to POTY table.
4. Competition Finals Venues - The league is offering an opportunity for all League Venues to submit a bid offer to host the following competition finals.
9 - Man Team A and B Final, 4 - Nine Man Teams will be at venue. - Preferably a 2 Table Venue. Best of 19 Frames.
5 - Man Team Final - 4 Teams at the venue. - 2 Table Venue required.
3 - Man Team Final - 4 Teams at the venue. 2 Table Venue required.
Doubles Final - 8 Teams at Venue - Coppies have offered to host.
Singles Final - 8 Players at Venue - Cawburn have offered to host.
All venues wishing to bid to host any of the Finals should submit their offer at the next league meeting for consideration.
5. Ian Quigley representing the Whitburn League has proposed we run a joint area singles competition producing an area singles champion. Inital thoughts would be to hold seperate Livingston & Whitburn League qualifiers with approx 8 finalsits from each League reaching the Finals day. Finals in December. All agreed to progress this competition.
6. John Paterson raised the issue of how the committee would deal with teams that had withdrawn from the league with an outstanding debt to the league and then wished to re-register in a subsequent year. Following discussion it was agreed that teams in this situation would be required to settle any outstanding debt prior to them being allowed to re-register.
7. IM 1 Scottish Masters - The League qualifiers Disco, Keith, Malcy and Dollop had a great run in the IM 1 Finals this year. Keith having a great run to make the final against the current World Champion Jason Shaw just losing out 8-4 to Jason. Great Stuff!!
